First Food!

Today Easton had his first solid food! He is about a week and 1/2 from being 6 months but we are leaving for Nashville in a couple weeks and it would be great if he could eat some solid food while we are gone.

His first meal was exactly like Isabel's - homemade brown rice cereal made with my trusty Baby Bullet! His reaction was pretty much like Isabel's too, "what the heck are you doing to  me mom!?!" He gagged a lot and has no idea how to swallow so I don't think you could say it was a success from an eating standpoint, but I got some classic pictures!

Easton's First Trip to Yellowstone

This last weekend our good friends Nate & Melanie came out for a visit. Of course when anyone visits for the first time Yellowstone is on top of our To-Do list! It so happened that it was Easton's first time in the park too! Its so cool that we live close enough to this national treasure to just do a day trip. We saw countless bison, some elk, a bald eagle, a grizzly bear and a coyote hunting mice. Isabel was enthralled by the bison. I'm sure in a year or so Easton will think they are just as cool.
