More San Francisco Photos

Here are some more photos from Thanksgiving weekend. These ones were taken by the talented Uncle Blake! Doing the photo shoot was so much fun! We really couldn't have picked a more perfect day to spend in beautiful San Francisco. These photos capture some wonderful memories. I feel so incredibly blessed that this baby is being born into such a wonderful family. This little life will be constantly surounded by grandmas, grandpas, uncles and aunts that love BB ever so much!

BB could be David Brinker III

Week 26

99 days to go! We've come a long way, and are now in the countdown, with about three months to go! This week also marks our transition to the last trimester! Woohoo!!!

This last weekend Grandma, Poppa, Uncle Blake & Suzie (doggy auntie) came to visit for Thanksgiving. We had a great time being all cozy in our little house, tons of great food (both homemade and yummy restaurants), and of course the grandparents brought presents!!! (Thanks again Ma & Pop!) We also got to take a spontaneous trip to San Francisco! It had been about three decades since either Grandma or Poppa had been to SF, and we had a blast seeing some of the beauty of the city, on a clear, clean, crisp day! Here are some photos of our morning.

Week 24

This week is a huge mile marker in the pregnancy! At 24 weeks the baby is considered viable outside the womb (with lots of help of course). If baby came this week he/she would have a 50/50 chance of survival and which gets better every single week. But never to fear! With how well the pregnancy has been going I'm not worried about this sweetpea coming any time soon:-)

This morning I felt something new - movement on the left side and right side of my belly at the same time! Little BB was stretching out and is getting pretty long! BB dances, swims, does twists and turns all the time now! Its so much fun :-) This little one can't wait to show the Brinker Uncles, Grandma & Poppa all the tricks he/she can do this coming weekend when they come to visit!

Here are this weeks belly pixs! Long overdue I know!

Week 23

Baby shower!!! Last Saturday was our first shower thanks to my wonderful mama, amazing sister Hannah, & awesome friends Jenna & Becca! It was soooooo great to see old friends & all of the beautiful women in my family! How humbling it was to look around the room and see the realm of positive influence my life has had from the very beginning. What a legacy to give to my little one. We are so incredibly blessed!

Besides the babyshower the best part was getting to spend almost a whole week in Beaverton just hanging out with my awesome family (which includes my closest friends who are family too!). Between staying up until 1am jammin' to Dave's guitar, dancing at Saturday Market, stuffing our face with grapes, and watching Father Jay get wound up by the dogs, we were spoiled by my mama's amazing cooking! This crazy family is so excited for little BB to make an appearance.

Week 22

Its been WAY too long since my last post! I blame it on Dave (a common occurence these days) - the camera is at work and he keeps forgetting to bring it home! Belly pixs will come soon I hope! But in the mean time, here are the promised videos. They wouldn't upload directly to the blog so I posted the youtube links instead.

This one is of the 20 week ultrasound. So freakin' cool! You can actually see BB wiggling around in there!

This video was taken later that evening when Dave played at an open mic night. This is our baby's song!

Week 19

Lots of stuff to share this week! The most amazing thing was our mid-pregnancy ultasound!!! I can't even describe in words how truly awe-inspring it was to see the four chambers of our baby's heart, to see feet, toes, hands, fingers, legs, arms, head and face!!! While I've known since day 1 that we have a little person in there, seeing our baby's face made it so real! The little wiggler has a face & a personality!

Profile - can you see mom in there?

Feet - Dad's long toes, but mom's big feet!

Another adorable profile shot

I tried posting a video of the ultrasound, but it's not working. I'll have to try again later... I can't wait to show it to you tough! You can actually SEE the baby moving around!

Week 18

Movement!!! This last week I for sure started to feel little BB move! It started with little flutters and then one night I was enjoying the flutters at 2:30am and felt an actual kick! I try to sit still every day now and "listen" for the flutters/little jabs. Feeling the baby move has become an addiction! I feel sad and a little worried when I don't feel anything for a day. It is just another amazing part of growing this little life inside! These movements are irrefutable evidence of an actual human being living inside my belly!!! The next big thing to look forward to is when dad can feel the baby for himself. His face always lights up every time I tell him that I felt the baby move. I can't wait to see his face when he feels the baby himself!

More concrete evidence of that baby, is my growing belly! We're going through a pretty good growth spurt right now! This weekend I finally wore tight shirts for the first time! I love not feeling like I have to hide my belly because I feel like it just looks fat. Nope, not anymore! It looks preggers now!

Week 17

Growing is the name of the game now! Because I see myself in the mirror every day its hard to judge how much bigger I am now than a few weeks ago. But this morning I had a pretty concrete indication of my expanding waistline when I couldn't button my regular jeans anymore! I wore the same ones just last Saturday! So bella band it is now! I just love that thing! (Its a thick elastic band that goes over you pants so you can wear them unbuttoned - it just looks like you're wearing a laying t-shirt.)

The pictures this week are from my weekend in Klamath Falls. My Abuelito is in the country so I needed to see him before he gets too antsy to get back to his cows in Mexico :-) It was a weekend full of family and food - staples of Mexican culture!!! I swear I gained 5 pounds just in those two days!

My Tia Olivia is THE baking queen! This cheesecake was amazing!!!

But just one baked delicacy wasn't enough! I got a juicy apple pie too!

Present from my cousin Chava. Yes I do have that typical prego craving for pickles!

One of my Abuelito's specialties - Posole! I know it might sound weird but its a pretty traditional Mexican breakfast. I gotta learn how to make it!

Enjoying our posole! My poor Abuelito was surrounded by his girls all weekend!

It was so great getting to visit with my precious Abuelito. He is already excited to fly into Sacramento next spring to come see the baby! This little one is going to be the 4th generation of 1st borns! That is going to be one awesome picture!

Week 16

These weeks are going by soooo fast! Yesterday we had our 16 week appointment and got to hear our baby's heartbeat! What we also got to hear was that little one swishing around inside there! Here is the video and you can hear little swishes 4 times in the minute or so that we were listening to the hearbeat. Looks like we might have an active little one on our hands!

Week 15

15 weeks down, 25 to go! Dave came home this week after being gone for almost two weeks and of course he was sure that I had grown. I told him that he would have said that even if I hadn't, he replied with "yeah probably" :-)

This week I wore maternity pants for the first time! I was so nervous about maternity pants, but there are some really cute ones now!

This week I also bought my plane ticket to to home to Oregon for babyshowers!!! Once we had the dates nailed down I decided that it was time to start the baby registries too! It's sooooo much fun! I can't wait for our little guest room to morph into our baby's room!

Here are this week's belly pictures. Not a huge difference, but there is one :-)

Week 14

Now that school has started and classes have begun at Sonoma State, the weeks have really begun to fly by! I'm not sure if that is a good thing or bad thing! On one hand it is super exciting because I just can't wait to meet our little BB! On the other hand I love bring pregnant and want to savor each moment!

Now that life has begun to have a routine I've been able to start working out again. I can't tell you how good it feels! They aren't joking when they say that the second trimester has a boost in energy levels! I've been swimming, biking, jogging and doing yoga. We're having a lovely Indian Summer, and I'm trying to milk it for all I've got!

Every night I check out my belly and will it to grow, grow, grow! I can still squeeezzze into most of my pants but they are getting A LOT tighter these days. I had to unbutton the ones I was wearing yesterday while I was driving and the whole time I was in class at SSU! So I know our little one is getting bigger, I just can't wait to show it more :-)

Here are the two pictures of our ultrasounds. Isn't it amazing the difference of just one month!?!

Here are a bunch of belly comparison pictures from the last two months. I can't tell if it looks like I'm pregnant yet, or if it just looks like I'm getting fat ;-)

Week 13

I actually couldn't believe the change that happened in the last 2 weeks! Dave is going to be gone for the next few weeks, so it will be interesting to see what I look like when he comes home!
