While in Oregon we did some family photos for my mom's Mother's Day present. We were fortunate enough to get Clane Gessel to do the photo shoot. He did our wedding and is just the best there is!
The goal of this blog is to document our family's growth! We live out of state from all of our family and many friends, so we hope that these stories and photos help our loved ones feel more connected!

Week 16
We're already starting our 4th month of pregnancy! I just wish I was feeling better. This little one sure is making me sick! I've been puking only about once a week, so that really isn't all that bad. I still don't have much appetite. At our doctor appointment this week I actually lost a pound. My midwife didn't seem too worried. She said the baby will get all the nutrients they need at my expense. I'm actually finding out how many women I know who have lost 5-20 pounds in the first four-five months of pregnancy! So my one pound loss really isn't that bad, even though its not ideal either. After our appointment we went to my favorite doughnut shop and indulged in some homemade donuts!
I can't believe that we're almost half way through the pregnancy and only one month away from finding out baby's gender! Even though I loved the surprise with Isabel, I'm totally stoked to find out if this little one is a he, or a she! Its going to be so fun to actually be able to plan ahead this time according to baby's gender!

The Guncles Come Visit!
Last week we had the supreme treat of having Uncle Luc and Uncle Todd come and visit over 4th of July! We had tons of fun going out to eat, going to the park and just spending time with the Guncles! Isabel is such a lucky little girl to have so many amazingly wonderful men in her family who love her dearly.

Week 12
Around 7 weeks (just like with Isabel) I started to feel nauseous. But unlike with Isabel this time around the nauseousness didn't go away after a week, its still around! People keep saying that maybe this baby is a boy - who knows! I've been feeling absolutely exhausted and drained every day too. Chasing around a toddler is a big part of that too. It has been a super hot summer here in Bozeman so that hasn't helped my fatigue either! Eating has been a challenge. Nothing sounds good. If I go too long without eating I get super queezy and then feel even less like eating! There is no rhyme or reason as to the time of day that I feel the most nauseous either. I pretty much wake up queezy and go to bed queezy. I have even had a few nights when I can hardly sleep because I feel nauseous all night long! I haven't actually thrown up much which is good, but I just can't wait for this constant unsettled feeling to go away! I keep reminding myself that its a good thing, because it is a sign that I'm creating a new little life inside my tummy. Like my mom says, "that baby is just latching on tight!"

Time for Round Two!
Isabel is going to be a big sister! I know this pregnancy story might be a bit Too-Much-Information for some people, but its still part of the story of how we found out about our new little family member!
This May my period was supposed to come around the 3rd week of the month. I took a pregnancy test on Tuesday the 15th before heading out for a girl's wine night. Its not like Dave and I had really been trying to get pregnant, but we weren't exactly not trying either ;-) The test was negative (one of the ones that tells you 6 days early!), so I went out and enjoyed an evening of girl-friends, gossip and wine! The rest of the week came and went and I still didn't have my period. That Sunday I took another early results test and it was still negative! I figured that I had just mis-calculated my cycle. That Thursday before some friends came in town for Memorial Day weekend I got some cheep $1 tests and decided that if they were negative again, I should call my OBGYN because something had to be wrong! But this time they were positive!
We're super excited for this new little addition to our family. Although there is so much anticipation and excitement with a first born, there is also a lot of unknown. I'm thrilled to go into this pregnancy with a better idea of what to expect - there were so many things I didn't know when I was pregnant with Isabel, and now I don't have to worry as much because we've "been there, done that!". The scariest part with Isabel was the first few months when you are trying to take care of this new little life, and you realize how little experience you have when it comes to taking care of a newborn. This time around, I know it wont be the same, but I have so many more tools, tricks and ideas I can try. We just can't wait for this baby to join our family, and I'm amazed at how much I love this little person already!

A Bozeman Evening
We are loving having so many wonderful friends close by here in Bozeman. The other day we had a wonderful BBQ at the Seacat's with the Crow family who had just moved back into town. Isabel had a blast with Knox (19 months) and West (9 months). Uncle Mark got some wonderful photos of the evening!
